| A Little Bit About Me | |

I am a combination of Witch and Shaman, probably most times being much closer
to Shaman in the rituals I most tend to do. I came to Witchcraft over 10 years
ago, having sought most of my life for somewhere to fit in. Even as a young
child, I would gaze at the moon and love nothing more than walk through the bush
or one of our states most spectacular sites, The Gorge, which was well within
walking distance. Many special days were spent there. In my teens, my best friend found God, so I also tried this, as I so wanted to believe in something and having been brought up in the Christian Faith, thought this was the only path open to me. But As much fun as I had with these Christian Youth, something was very much lacking, so I wandered off again, finally giving up and thinking I had no faith. There was a time, I would have said I did not believe in God, so I thought I was atheist. But, I still wanted to believe, so decided I could believe in God as long as it was in a way I understood, and I then understood it to be something deep inside me that kept me on the right path. And that worked very well for me, finally I could believe. I continued on, getting into astrology, crystals, oils and natural healing. Upon entering my 30's, my husband gave me a spell book for christmas, and something finally clicked inside. I started buying more books, researching mythology, buying more herbs, and I discovered Wicca. Well here was something I could really identify with, but alas it was not to be, something was still missing and even tho Wicca offered a lot of what I was looking for, still, yes....... something was missing. So I looked further and finally discover Shamanism, a path so close to Witchcraft, but more on a level where I felt at home. Yes this was it, something I identified with so strongly. I came across Witchcraft again in my mid 30's and discovered a totally different world than that of Wicca, Asatru, an old German Path. Things once again started falling into place, it made sense I could strongly identify the Nordic tradition as my ancestors origianlly came from Germany. This enabled me to come back to Witchcraft and learn more about the old ways. Each day, I strive to learn something new, even if it is small and quite insignificant. I have learnt to be more accepting of people and especially, more accepting of myself. I no longer strive to fit my path around my life. Now I know, My path is my life. And if I don't reach the end of my path in this lifetime, well.............. there's always the next life...............
