(Jasminum officionale) Also known as Jessamin, Moonlight on the Grove. Common. Jasmine is considered an herbe of choice for Dianic women. CAUTION: The berries are poisonous. Parts Used: Flower The oil extracted from jasmine is considered to be one of the best for dressing a candle. Burning a candle with this oil gives psychic protection and brings health to one's aura.
Magical Uses: Symbolic of the moon and of the mysteries of the night. Jasmine essential oil is useful for sexuality, DON'T use synthetics! Dried Jasmine flowers are added to sachets and other love mixtures. They will attract a spiritual (as opposed to a physical)love. A drop of the essential oil in almond oil, massaged into the skin, is said to overcome frigidity. The flowers will also draw wealth and money if carried, burned or worn. Jasmine will also cause prophetic dreams if burned in the bedroom, and the flowers are smelled to induce sleep. To dream of jasmine is an omen of good fortune, good news for lovers, and the prophecy of an early marriage. Known for its ability to promote mental creativity, Jasmine helps promote new ideas. It is also used at Eostra celebrations. It may be included in a ritual drink, used as incense or the flowers may be worn by the high priestess. The magick of Jasmine can be kept by placing a small bit of quartz with it.
Juniper . . . .
(Juniperus communis) Also known as Enebro, Gemeiner Wachholder, Geneva, Gin Berry, Ginepro, Gin Plant. Juniper has been used throughout Europe as a protective herb. It was possibly one of the earliest incenses used by Mediterranean Witches. Its berries were used with thyme in Druid and grove incenses for visions. CAUTION: Pregnant women and people with weak kidneys should not use juniper berry. Parts Used: Berry and young twig
	Magical Uses: A sprig will protect the wearer from accidents and attacks by wild animals. It guards against ghosts and sickness. Grown at your doorstep, it will offer your home protection. The mature berries can be strung in the house to attract love. The berries are used to increase a male's potency. Carried or burned, it helps the psychic powers and breaks hexes and curses, and drives off snakes. It guards against theft. Hung at the door it protects against evil forces and people, and is burned in exorcism rites. The resin of the juniper can be gathered, dried and powdered, making an excellent incense. The berries may also be dried and placed in amulets.
Juniper is used to keep one healthy and to assist those in need of healing. Juniper is believed to keep disease at bay and to help keep one from injury. This is done by both banishing dark energies and by attracting good and positive energy.
