Focusing Attention
Exercise 1
Relax in a comfortable Position, close your eyes
Say the number 1 until interrupted by a random thought
At the interruption, move on to the number 2 and so on
Get a timer and set it for three minutes for maximum benefit
Exercise 2
Focus your attention on an object
Let idea come into awareness, and yet let them float away
Keep curious, but block all concepts
Let new ideas in, percieveing beyond personal knowledge
It can be tried on other objects or people
The point is to clear the mind of preconcieved ideas and let new ones in
Relaxation
Exercise 1
Stand up straight
Raise arms over your head
Hands pointed to the ceiling
Tense every muscle
Lower arms and relax completely
Make a note of which muscles remain tense
Repeat until the muscles relax/lose tension
Exercise 2
Make sure you are wearing loose clothes, sit in a chair with your arms on the
rests, feet flat on the floor
Start at the top of your head working down to your feet
Relax each body part separately in turn
I feel my ________ relax. All Tension is disappearing leaving my ________ free
and light. All the tension is gone. I am energized and refreshed.
Repeat this for each body part with a gentle and monotonous tone.
Breathing
Exercise 1
Place hands on the side of your waist, fingers in front, thumb in back, get
a good grip
Inhale deeply, try to push hands away from each other with your diaphragm
Exhaling- feel the waist go in
Do this slowly. Imagine inhaling relaxed energy and exhaling nervous tension
Exercise 2 (can use with exercise 1)
When exhaling add a moan with mouth open the sound should deepen with the more
tension that is released.
Affirmations
Make a list of 10 positive affirmations about yourself and your ability to
train your psychic skills
Read your list aloud in front of the mirror
If necessry for a better flow you can change the wording in your list.
Visualization
make three white cards
draw one with a black backround a white circle with a white dot in the middle
the second one draw an equal armed cross against a black backround
on the third draw an equilateral triangle
Select a card and focus eyes on it
Close eyes
In time the reverse image will be seen
Personal Protection
Exercise 1
Affirm that you are under good protection
A. I am open to the best and closed to the undesireable
B. I am protected by the love of my God/Goddess
C. Remember and re-affirm that you are in power
Exercise 2
Close your eyes
Imagine yourself surrounded by a brilliant white light
Make a coccoon that extends behind and in front of you all the way down to
your feet
Awaken Psychic Centers
Sit erect in a high back chair
Using your right hand
place your forefinger directly in the center of your forehead
place thumb on the right side of your nose near the right eye
do the same for your middle finger on the left side
Keeping this position, take a deep breath and hold for the count of 10
Exhale and repeat 5 times
Feel the energy running up your right arm into the hand down the index finger
into your head |
